Our Annual Battle of the Taco is a citywide competition where 64 of the best taco spots go head-to-head in a bracket-style showdown voted on by YOU, the taco lovers of Sacramento.
After taking public nominations to find the top contenders, the battle begins as taquerías face off in weekly matchups until only one champion remains.

NOMINATIONS
It all starts with you. Nominate your favorite taquería and give them a shot at joining the ultimate taco showdown. Whether it’s a neighborhood classic or your late-night go-to— you can put them on the map and shape the bracket.
BRACKET VOTING
The top 64 taquerías will go head-to-head in a citywide bracket battle. Vote weekly to push your favorites into the next round. Keep your favorites in the game. rally your friends, and help them climb to the top! Only the tastiest survive.
CROWN WINNER
It all ends with a bang ! Celebrate the final showdown at Sac Taco Fest! Enjoy tacos from the finalists, live music, activities, and the crowning of Sacramento’s Taco Champion. It’s a community celebration you don’t want to miss! Come hungry. Leave legendary.
